The Handbag

We are in California this week for a Foodie Fiction event featuring a book by a friend Patricia V. Davis and my recipe demonstrated by the Chef aboard the RMS Queen Mary.  It’s a great event and I can’t wait to spend some time on the ship and hang out with my creative friends who are writers.  I am excited to be all the way on the left coast from our happy little spot on the right coast.  I will be finishing up the videos to show you how to make the handbag, but first. . . A sneak peak of the finished project.  I really love how it turned out, don’t you?  There are so many variations on this theme and I can’t wait to make a few more and show you how they look.  A basic bag like this one, with such good proportions really is a spectacular way to express yourself!  And of course I brought it along on my trip, and the silk kimono that I made from that glorious silk is also in my traveling bag.  I am loving California but will soon be home to finish those videos of the handbag process so stick around.  More good stuff is coming, -Carmen
